While the UT electricity department is planning to bridge the gap between power demand and supply during the peak of summer, city residents have not proved helpful by not declaring their actual load to the department.
Sources in the department revealed that out of 2.28 lakh power consumers in city, only around 40,000 consumers approached the electricity department to declare their actual power load.
The residents have failed to share their power load despite that the department had dispatched disclosure forms to each consumer along with their electricity bills. Read More
