The country’s biggest city gas distribution (CGD) bid round held by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board recently saw billionaire Gautam Adani-promoted Adani Gas Ltd (AGL) bagging the maximum number of geographical areas (GA). While the company won 13 GAs as an individual company, its joint venture with Indian Oil Corp. (IOC) has been awarded nine GAs.
AGL, the gas distribution arm of the Adani group, is to be listed as a separate entity in the first week of November, after being spun off from Adani Enterprises earlier this year.
In an interview, Pranav Adani, managing director, agro, oil and gas at Adani Group, talks about how the gas sector will propel the growth of the country in the next few years and how his the company is set to become the country’ largest CGD company in the next few years.
