UP Power Corporation will now penalize agencies if consumer doesn’t get the electricity bill on time. Corporation MD and chief secretary (Power) Alok Singh gave the directions at a high-level meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by officials of billing agencies.
Besides, all discoms have been asked to cut line losses to a minimum of 15%. The meeting held in Gautam Budh Nagar also decided to install aerial bundled cables in those regions where line loss is high.
