Announcing that the alternative energy like solar and biofuels would soon turn into a main stream energy source replacing the traditional thermal power, Uttar Pradesh Alternative Energy Minister Brijesh Pathak claimed that by the year 2020, the state would generate 10,700 megawatt of solar power.
The government is already promoting roof top solar system besides fast converting the government offices to solar power supply from the traditional one, the Minister announced that a proposal has been sent to the government for supplying solar power to Vidhan Bhawan and Lok Bhawan in the state capital.
