State govt finalised an action plan to develop 10,000 MW solar power plants: Energy secretary Ajay Jain
Around 3,000 MW wind energy projects will come up in AP over the next 5 years.
Anantapur: The State government has targeted to achieve a total capacity of 4,000 MW of solar power by 2020 and is expected to produce something like 10,000 MW of wind and solar power together.
While the Centre had fixed a target of 1 lakh MW production of non-conventional energy at the national-level, AP State alone is likely to produce 10,000 MW. The Solar Energy Corporation of India is going to issue tenders for setting up another 750 MW of solar power park in the State. Read more
