The Noida-Greater Noida metro corridor, also known as Aqua Line, is all set for launch. The commissioner of metro rail safety (CMRS) has given its go-ahead for starting commercial operations on the line, and Delhi Metro and Noida Metro officials are now waiting for the final nod from the UP government.
The chief minister’s office, officials said, is coordinating with the PMO to finalise a date for the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to officials, the CMRS submitted its report to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) chief this Monday after an inspection from December 11-13.
“After submission of the report, the CMRS asked the DMRC to file another report on a number of aspects on which work has to be completed. That was done on Wednesday,” said an official. Read More
