BMC, Railways, IIIT-B To Jointly Audit 445 Bridges From Friday

A day after stringent observations by the Bombay High Court, a high-level meeting of the civic and railway administrations, besides the IIT-B, on Thursday decided to start detailed audits of all 445 bridges in the Mumbai suburban railway networks area from Friday, an official said here.

Reliance Infrastructure Limited EPC has received the Letter of Award (LOA) from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for its maiden railway project worth Rs 774 crore for the construction of third rail line between Jimidipeta and Gotlam on East Coast Railway on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis, the company said on Thursday.
