Tariffs fell to Rs 2.72-2.73 per unit in the 750 MW auction conducted by NTPC for projects at Ananthapuram Solar Park in Andhra Pradesh, a sizeable drop from previous auctions. But they were still well above the record-low solar price of Rs 2.44 per unit reached at an auction held in May 2017.

Satellite port in Maharashtra as MPT looks for new revenue streams

After scrapping its plans to build a satellite port at Betul, Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) has now turned to Vijaydurg in Maharashtra, where it plans to construct a greenfield port to cater to container, crude oil, fertilizer, and limestone cargo. The Vijaydurg port will be developed in collaboration with Mumbai Port and Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) on the western bank of the Vagotan river, around 200 km from Vasco.
