Despite all efforts and use of latest techniques and technologies like fog safe devices and detonators, the Indian Railways has not been able to battle back nature. Poor visibility during winters is a bane for travellers on Indian Railways, but the transporter has not been able to reduce train delays and cancellations due to this factor.
In the latest move that will affect thousands of passengers daily, the public transporter has cancelled around 30 trains for two months and has diverted/short-terminated many others due to the fog.
“Ministry of Railways has decided the cancellation, partial cancellation, reduction in frequency and diversion of trains with effect from 13th December 2018 to 15th February 2019,” said the Indian Railways. Read More
