The bhoomi puja for the six-lane Mysuru-Bengaluru National Highway 275, which is expected to cut the travel time between the two cities to 90 minutes, will be held on March 24 in Bengaluru.
According to a tweet from Mysuru-Kodagu BJP Member of Parliament, Pratap Simha, the ‘Bhoomi puja’ for the new expressway will be held in Yashwanthapur Constituency in Bengaluru on March 24 at 1 pm.
Though there is no much revelation on who will be performing the bhoomi puja for the much-anticipated Bengaluru-Mysuru six-lane highway project, BJP sources say that Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has been invited to perform the bhoomi puja.
According to a press statement released by the government on Wednesday, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded Rs 6,212.76 crore contract to Dilip Buildcon Ltd for widening the Bengaluru-Mysuru section of NH-275 in Karnataka.
“The projects include six-laning of 56 km stretch of Bengaluru-Nidagatta section on National Highway 275 for Rs 3,447.33 crore and 61 km stretch of Nidagatta-Mysuru section for Rs 2,765.43 crore,” the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways stated. Read More…
