Bullet train in India: Ever wondered what a ride inside India’s first bullet train would be like? What comforts would the executive class coaches offer? What would the economy class coaches look like? For its first bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, India has chosen the Japanese Shinkansen E5 series of high-speed trains. In Japan, the Shinkansen E5 series of trains have three types of coaches – Ordinary (Economy), Green Car (Executive Class) and Gran Class (First class). For India, however, Indian Railwayshas decided on Economy and Executive class car coaches. The Shinkansen E5 bullet train series comes under the East Japan Railway Company.
