The central government has agreed to allow temporary power connections to Gurugram residents living in the restricted zone around the IAF depot. The Centre, however, has made it clear that the power connections can be allowed temporarily with the condition that it will not give the residents any legal right.
A formal statement in this regard was given by the counsel for the central government before the Punjab and Haryana high court during a resumed hearing of the case related to the encroachment around the IAF ammunition depot in Gurugram.
