The central government provided total funding assistance of Rs 382 crore to Madhya Pradesh over the past two financial year 2016-17 and 2017-18 for implementing solar power schemes and projects, power and new and renewable energy minister R K Singh said today.
“The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has been implementing various schemes in the country, including in Madhya Pradesh, to promote solar energy. The names of the schemes include development of solar parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects,” Singh said in a written reply to a question asked in Parliament.
Other schemes include a plan for setting up 1,000 MW of Grid-Connected Solar PV Power Projects by the Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs) and Government of India organisations with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) Read More
