In a fresh directive, the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) has directed the UT electricity department to submit voltage-wise transmission and distribution (T&D) losses.
Recently, the UT electricity department had claimed bringing down T&D losses of financial year 2017-18 to 9.51%. The claim, which was unaudited, submitted by the department to the JERC, in its multi-year tariff (MYT) petition.
The department had submitted that the T&D loss came down to 9.51% because of return of excess power 48 million units to Jammu and Kashmir, against energy received during 2015-16 and 2016-17. The department submitted, “The figures of T&D are provisional and unaudited. Final audited figure will be submitted after completion of audit”. Read more
