After the directions of the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC), the UT electricity department has submitted revised details of power projects along with its deadlines. Recently, the UT had submitted city’s 20-year power infra roadmap before the commission, but no deadline was mentioned for the implementation of specific projects.
Thereafter, the JERC had directed the electricity department to mention deadlines for the completion of these proposed projects, which were mentioned in the detailed project report (DPR).
Sources revealed that the UT electricity department has now mentioned deadline of short term projects between 1-3 years whereas long term projects range between 10 to 20 years. Read More
