VA Tech Wabag, a pure-play water technology company, has won an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) order worth 0.5 billion Saudi riyals (approx Rs 1,000 crore) from the Power and Water Utility Company for Jubail and Yanbu (MARAFIQ) in Saudi Arabia.
As per a statement by VA Tech Wabag, the scope of the contract is towards the expansion of sewage water treatment plant in Jubail.
The plant will be designed using “activated sludge process” and will undertake carbon and nitrogen removal to treat the sewage water in accordance with the irrigation water quality standards set by the Royal Commission Environmental Regulations 2015 of Saudi Arabia. Read more
