There is good news for those living or working in and around Sector 62, Noida. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will be extending the Blue Line to Sector 62 by the end of this year. This corridor of Delhi Metro currently terminates at Noida City Centre.
The extended route will be an elevated stretch starting from Noida Sector 34 Metro station, and running up to Electronic City Metro station. Approximately 6.8 km long, the stretch is expected to be completed by December. It was earlier scheduled to be completed by September this year.
The extension will have six metro stations – Noida Sector 34, Noida Sector 52, Noida Sector 61, Noida Sector 59, Noida Sector 62 and Noida Electronic City. The Electronic City which is the last metro station on this line- is close to Noida-Ghaziabad border on National Highway-24, facilitating commuting for those headed to the satellite towns in Uttar Pradesh as well as improving connectivity to Indirapuram, which is just across NH- 24.
