Following the daily revision in retail fuel rates, diesel prices fell by 6 paise while petrol prices remain unchanged across four metropolitan cities in the country on Thursday (June 20). Petrol in New Delhi is retailing at Rs 69.93 a litre, no change in price compared with Wednesday’s rate. Diesel prices in the national capital were lowered by 6 paise to Rs 63.78 a litre as against Rs 63.84 on Wednesday, according to data from Indian Oil Corporation website.
Worth mentioning here is that state-run oil marketing companies kept the retail prices of petrol and diesel stagnant for the third successive day across the country on Wednesday. Plus, the fuel prices in the national capital are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals owing to lower taxes.
In Kolkata, petrol prices remain stagnant at Rs 72.19 per litre while diesel was retailing at Rs 65.70 a litre (6 paise decrease). In Mumbai, petrol prices were unchanged from Wednesday’s level at Rs 75.63 per litre. Read More
