Discom DHBVN is installing 21 more high capacity transformers across the city to enhance the capacity of power infrastructure in Gurugram. Officials said they recently concluded the survey and now would install transformers based on the overload in areas like Sector 41, 39, 55, 66, 21, 22, 23 and 16 and 17.
“We are identifying the areas that require new transformers. There are such overcapacity areas. We have some 21 transformers of 200 MVA capacities each. They will be installed gradually across the city,” said KC Aggarwal, superintendent engineer, new Gurugram. “They will be installed on the location where we feel the demand is very high but the transformers are not able to bear the capacity.”
