The Election Commission has issued a show-cause notice to Kerala state electricity board (KSEB) for not complying with its instructions to remove all the political slogans and posters from electric poles across the state.
Chief electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena issued a show-cause notice, after the board failed to meet the deadline as the commission had asked the KSEB to remove all such materials within 15 days of issuing the instruction. Later, another notice was issued asking for the same, but the board did not furnish a reply.
CEO said that the commission will take further steps after receiving reply from the board. Meanwhile, KSEB sources said that the board is doing everything possible to comply with instructions of EC.
