A five-member empowered group of secretaries (EGoS) has been constituted by the Railway Board to speed up the clearance of world-class station projects in various parts of country, said Northern railway general manager T P Singh, who was here for a golf tournament, on Friday.
The GM said earlier, a major issue that the railways had to face where world class stations were developed was that the railway officials had to proceed with every issue in consultation with the authority concerned of the state or the Union Territory.
With the formation of this committee, the urban development, finance and other departments would come under one umbrella and decisions would be taken faster, he said.Read More
