Train services on the Akbarpur-Mugalsarai route were affected when engine of the Kolkata-bound Jammu Tawi Express derailed near Akbarpur station on Wednesday night.
Railway sources here on Thursday said that the derailment occurred at uter of the Akbarpur station when the train was at a slow speed. None was injured in the accident.
The train commenced its onward journey through an alternate route after delay of around seven hrs, post derailed engine was detached. Sources said efforts were on to clear the route after putting the engine on the tracks. Read More
