The state government owned Gujarat Gas is set to start work on its new office. The company, which has operations in more than 20 districts, is in the process of acquiring about 10,000 sq mt land on SG Highway for the new headquarter.
The land, situated near Vaishnodevi circle, is owned by Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). During its meeting last week, AUDA board approved sale of the plot to Gujarat Gas, the country’s largest city gas distribution company, for Rs 64 crore. AUDA chairman Vijay Nehra said they expect the transaction to be completed in the current financial year.
