At times when national Capital is reeling under high level of pollutants in its air with its ill-effects explicitly evident on human health and environment, a seminar on “Greening the Indian Transport Sector” and electrical vehicles and green shipping was organised at Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Acting as a ‘lighthouse’ for the others at times when energy security is one of the biggest challenges that confronts the world, Norway emerged as a leader in the electric vehicle and green shipping with having largest fleet of electric vehicles in the world.
The panel discussion in the seminar which was moderated by Kushan Mitra, Managing Editor The Pioneer, mulled over the prospects of India’s vast transport sector adopting green technology. The discussion, in which CEO’s of some big players / global giants in the field of energy and transportation participated, aptly focused on the potential which Indian market holds for electric vehicles and the hurdles on its way.Read More…
