Due to heavy rains, land slips, flash floods and closure of section between Shoranur – Kozhikkode in Palakkad Division and Ernakulam – Kottayam – Kayamkulam section in Thiruvananthapuram Division, Railway has announced changes in the pattern of services.
A release from Thiruvananthapuram division of Southern Railway (SR) said, an Express Special will be operated from Ernakulam to Tambaram via Kollam, Trivandrum, Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Trichy, Villupuram and Chengalpattu will leave Ernakulam at 0230 hrs on August 19 and reach Tambaram at 2200 hrs the same day.
