GAIL (India) said last week it’s fast-tracked the interstate Jagdishpur-Haldia and Bokaro-Dhamra (JHBDPL) natural gas pipeline project in India by awarding contracts for a 313-mileline segment in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
The pipeline segment will connect from Dobhi in Bihar and Durgapur in West Bengal, and also includes a 75-mile pipeline to Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. The contracts are worth $93 million, the Times of India reported.
“The project activities of Phase I are under an advanced stage of construction, which will supply gas to Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Patna & Barauni,” said GAIL (India) chairman and managing director B.C.
