Vaishno Devi pilgrims will soon be able to travel between New Delhi and Katra from India’s first semi high-speed train, the Vande Express. The government has decided to soon launch the Vande Bharat Express on the route between Delhi and Katra. The decision was taken recently and the trial runs are expected to begin shortly as the inauguration is expected very soon.
Once the commercial runs begin, it is estimated that the passengers will be able to cover the distance in just eight hours as opposed to the current 10 to 12 hours. Once the trails are successfully completed, the train will leave New Delhi station and will have stoppages at Ambala, Ludhiana and Jammu Tawi before terminating at Katra. Read More
