The government has released Rs 3,584.08 crore as Central Financial Assistance (CFA) for implementing renewable energy schemes by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in financial year 2018-19 so far, power and renewable energy minister R K Singh said in a statement in Rajya Sabha.
A total of 74.79 gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy capacity had been installed in the country at the end of December 2018 including 25.21 GW from solar, 35.14 GW from wind, 9.92 GW from biomass, and 4.52 GW from small hydro power.
