Keen on promoting innovative modes of transport, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Thursday said the government may induct hybrid aeroboats in the upcoming Kumbh fair and also for ferrying people to Taj Mahal (Agra) from the national capital.
He said the government is exploring the use of new kinds of vehicles like hybrid aeroboats that combine land, water and aviation technology and can run on land, water and air at speeds greater than 80 km per hour.
“Hybrid aeroboats from top Russian companies could be roped in for Kumbh and we may start a pilot project also before January 26 for taking people to Taj Mahal,” Gadkari said addressing here at a function.
The remark comes after top Russian companies, which manufacture these aluminium aeroboats, have made presentations before the Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation minister earlier this week. Read More
