Fast-tracking the work, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) has completed the construction of all the pillars for the 66 km network, reports Rail Analysis India.
HMRL Managing Director NVS Reddy said that an average of one pillar per day was laid out and depending upon the technical requirement and locational constraints, different shapes have been adopted for the pillars. A total of 2599 pillars are laid out for the network.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 30-km stretch of between Miyapur and Nagole, in November 2017, officially commencing the commercial operations of the network. Read More
