Hyderabad Metro In India Secures Safety Approval

The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) and representatives from the Railway Safety Commission have issued authorisation to open a key section of the Hyderabad metro in the Indian state of Telangana.

Trains will now be cleared to operate from Nagole to Miyapur station following the approval, which covers the section from Mettuguda to SR Nagar via Ameerpet Interchange Metro Station.

The authorities provided the safety approval after inspecting the metro rail network’s civil works, track, viaduct, stations, signalling and train controls, telecommunication, rolling stock and other associated railway systems.

Speed trials were also conducted on the metro train for a three-day period during the inspection initiative. Read More…
