Indian solar energy firm Rays Power Infra Pvt. Ltd. said it commissioned the 78 MW solar project in Tehsil-Bhagwanpur in the Roorkee District of Uttarakhand, fulfilling its role as the turnkey contractor responsible for all processes from land acquisition to commissioning.
After the 78 MW project was awarded to the company in the Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency’s (UREDA) competitive bidding for 2015-16, construction began in late November 2016.
“Currently, we have a 40% market share of the total number of solar projects in the state of Uttarakhand, which we will increase to above 80 % by the end of the current financial year,” said Rays Power Infra CEO Ketan Mehta. “We have received excellent support from the Energy department of the state and the success of the project is owed to them.
