India Smart Cities Awards Contest 2017: Narendra Modi Government To Offer Rs 50 Lakh Prize To Measure Impact Of Project

The Centre will soon hold a contest with a prize money of Rs 50 lakh to measure the quality and impact of the ongoing smart city projects, a senior government official said. A concept note and guidelines on ‘India Smart Cities Awards Contest, 2017’ has been circulated to states and Union territories, alerting them for the competition, the official said. “The contest is aimed at recognising and rewarding cities, projects and innovative ideas that promote the goals of the Smart City Mission including enhancement in quality of life of citizens. Evaluation criteria include impact, innovation and scalability/ replicability in other areas of the city,” the official said. Read More…
