Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission Chairman Ismail Ali Khan on Friday said that India is the third largest Electricity producing country in the world.
Speaking at the two-day conference on “ Power & Renewable Energy with the theme “India @ 75: Smart, Sustainable & Affordable Power”, organised by CII in partnership with Government of Telangana here, Mr Khan said the scale of production and level of development in India is very high because of which there are resource constraints in the country.
He said more resources are required to sustain the growth rate of the country. At the same time it is important that all resources has to be exploited ecologically.
Efforts are made to include changes in the conventional transmission system as additional changes are required to include renewable energy sources into the system, Mr Khan added. Read More
