India To Increase Its Solar Capacity With Jakson

Jakson is a group that was found in the year 1947. It is a leading player in power generation and distribution business. The prime income of the company is from the diesel generator sets, power back-ups that constitute 44% of its income. It ventured into the solar business back in the year 2010. The company has a fully operational plant at Noida that manufactures 70MW mono and polycrystalline modules, and it also holds an installed capacity of 500 MW of module mounting structures.

The company is the primary brain behind the solar conversion from the coal powering of the local trains in Delhi. In July, the first solar-powered train in India was flagged off by the Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) coach that has the solar panels which powers the lights, fan and other important electrical items in the train.
