The national transporter, in its endeavour to provide world-class facilities and give new makeover to railway stations across the country, has upgraded another railway station recently. The Kamakhya Junction in Guwahati, Assam has been renovated completely, boasting a new look overall.
The station infrastructure has been upgraded along with several new modern amenities and facilities to offer the best of facilities to railway passengers. The complete upgradation of the station has been done at a cost of Rs 2.32 crore.
Provision has been made for retiring rooms, male and female dormitories with 10 beds each, improvement to toilets as well as other ancillary works in connection with joint development of the railway station with the Ministry of Tourism. Read More
