India’s Nayara Energy Ltd, part-owned by Russian oil major Rosneft, imported nearly 15% less oil in September from a year earlier and did not receive Venezuelan oil during the month, according to data from the shipping industry and sources, as the private refiner had raised imports in the previous months. During September the refiner discharged shipment of Venezuelan oil that arrived in previous months, the data showed. The refiner’s overall imports in the first three quarters of 2019 averaged about 376,000 bpd, a decline of 0.6% from a year earlier period, the data showed. Nayara did not respond to a Reuters’ request for comments. The sources declined to be identified as they were not authorised to speak with the media.
