Indian Railways’ first private train Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express has reported a revenue of nearly ₹3.70 crore in October, reported PTI. With a host of new facilities, the Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express becomes the first train in the country to be entirely run by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). According to PTI, IRCTC run Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express has made a profit of ₹70 lakh in its inaugural month.
Started on October 5, Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express is the fastest train running in between Delhi and Lucknow. IRCTC Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express runs six days a week, except Tuesdays. The Tejas Express leaves Lucknow at 6.10 am and reaches New Delhi railway station at 12.25 pm.
On its return journey, the train leaves Delhi at 3.35 pm and reaches Lucknow at 10.05 pm. Since its inauguration, IRCTC Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express has run with an average occupancy of 80-85%, according to a PTI report. Read More
