India’s total fuel demand grew at 9 per cent to 17,994 Tonnes in June as compared to the corresponding month a year ago.
The country’s petrol demand grew at a robust 15 per cent to 2,379 tonnes during the month as compared to the corresponding month a year ago, on the back of robust growth in sale of two-wheelers, which account for 60 per cent of the country’s petrol demand.
Data sourced from Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturing (SIAM) shows that domestic two-wheeler sales in May and June grew at 9.19 per cent and 22.28 per cent respectively, aiding the consumption of petrol in the country. Read More
