The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has planned a special menu for the passengers at all the food plazas at major railway stations in the east during Durga Puja. The passengers can also enjoy a complimentary drink or dessert with the meal which they have ordered, claimed a report. A special menu has also been introduced for Rajdhani and Duronto passengers.
In this regard, the managers of all station food plazas have been directed by the IRCTC to decorate the outlets in such a way that customers feel of Puja festivities. The food plazas have also been asked to prepare traditional items. A report in The Times of Indiastates that similar directions have also been given to vendors serving food through e-catering.
Speaking to TOI, group general manager (east), IRCTC, Debashis Chandra said that this year special menu will be served to more trains from Howrah and Sealdah. Last year, the facility was available on Rajdhanis for four Puja days. Read More…
