The government-run India Post has released a Rs 5 postal stamp of India’s fastest train — Vande Bharat Express (Train 18). For the launch of Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) postal stamp, the Indian Railways-led Integral Coach Factory collaborated with India Post to release a stamp in order to commemorate the IRCTC superfast and the first indigenous semi high-speed train Vande Bharat Express (Train 18).
A Rs 5 stamp has been issued for the Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) within 6 months of its commercial launch. PM Narendra Modi had flagged off Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) from the New Delhi Railway Station on February 15, 2019, however, the train began its commercial run from February 17, 2019.
“Indian Railways’ Integral Coach Factory(ICF) in collaboration with Department of Posts has recently released a commemorative stamp on indian railways’ first indigenous semi high speed train set Vande Bharat Express,” Ministry of Railways said in a tweet. Read More
