IWTMA Appoints Tusli Tanti As Its Chairman

Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) has appointment Suzlon Energy chief Tulsi Tanti as the Chairman of the association from today.

“With cumulative wind installations of over 32,000 MW, the industry is ahead of the 30000 MW target set by government until FY17. I am confident we will surpass the government target of 60 GW much before 2022,” Tanti said in a statement issued here.

Seeking for collaboration with the industry to drive the next phase of wind energy revolution, he said technology and innovation will remain the catalyst in this endeavor. *********************

Ratna Vishwanathan steps down as MFIN CEO

Mumbai: Microfinance Institutions Networks (MFIN) today said Ratna Vishwanathan has stepped down as its chief executive officer.

Vishwanathan joined MFIN in 2014 and took over the reins in 2015.

During her tenure, she made significant contributions in steering the industry in challenging times especially during demonetization through leading dialogues and industry-focused activities with all key stakeholders. ********************* AERB signs MoU with Andhra govt to set up DRS

Mumbai: Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) today said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government to form Directorate of Radiations Safety (DRS) for medical diagnostic X-ray facilities.

The objective of the Directorate is to authorise the state’s DRS to carry out safety audits on behalf of AERB by way of inspection in the medical diagnostic x-ray equipment installed in the state.

Currently, such DRS exists in six states including Kerala, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Punjab and Arunachal Pradesh, while MoU has been signed with governments of Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Maharashtra. HV PSK NSK Read More
