The revised project report for second phase of Jaipur Metro was in principle approved by stakeholders meeting held on Friday. The second phase has been proposed on a length of 29.5 kilometers between Sitapura and VKI and has further provision to be extended by 8 kilometers further of Sitapura to have it connected with the Ring Road by the year 2031.
“In the initial detailed project report submitted by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the second phase was proposed on length of 23.8 kilometers between Sitapura and Ambabari. This has been extended to connect Airport and Collectorate circle,” said Ashwani Saxena, director project Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC).
The stakeholders include the urban development agencies, traffic police and representatives of trade and social bodies. These stakeholders have been asked to submit their suggestions regarding the Metro route by next week after which the report will be forwarded for approval to the government. Read More
