The proposal of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) for equal tariff in rural and urban areas apart from raising the rates for both domestic and industrial supplies faced severe opposition during the discom’s public hearing on grievances on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission (JSERC) chairman Arbind Prasad said, “The JBVNL holds public hearing only for rate revision. It should ensure monthly meeting with the consumers to redress their grievances.” Read More
