To encourage voting in Belagavi city of Karnataka, the Indian oil is offering Re 1 discount to all those who come out and vote in the Karnataka Assembly Election 2018. While the regular price of per litre petrol is Rs 75.86, today, on the polling day, the company is offering it at Rs 74.86. The aim behind the idea is to encourage people to come out in large numbers and vote at their respective polling stations in Belagavi.
Polling to the 222 assembly constituencies of Karnataka began at around 7 AM today and will continue till 6 PM. The counting of the votes in the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018 will take place on May 15. While BJP has fielded B. S. Yeddyurappa as their chief ministerial candidate, Congress is contesting the present CM Siddaramaiah.
