The movement of long distance and local trains on Barauni-Katihar section under Sonpur division of East Central railway was disrupted after a wagon of goods train derailed near Pasraha railway station today.
Official sources said here that the wagon of goods train, laden with stone chips, jumped off tracks near Pasraha station throwing movement of trains on UP and Down lines out of gear. Trains were stranded at various stations on the section causing great inconvenience to train passengers.
Sources said that nobody was injured in the incident. Attempts are on to restore train services by removing the debris from tracks, sources added. Read More
