A consortium of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Ltd (LTHE) and EMAS AMC PTE Ltd, a Subsea7 company, has bagged a large contract for a project by Saudi Aramco that includes supplying 28 offshore jackets in Zuluf, Marjan, Sfania and Ribyan offshore fields of Saudi Arabia.
LTHE said in a statement it defines a “large contract” as one with a value ranging between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore. “LTHE’s fabrication facilities in Middle East & India are fully equipped to execute these challenging projects,” the company said.
In the oil and gas exploration and production business a jacket refers to the steel frame supporting the deck and the topsides in a fixed offshore platform.
