Engineering and construction major L&T today announced its arm L&T Construction has bagged orders worth Rs 2,440 crore for erection and commissioning of multiple power transmission and distribution projects apart from solar plants.
“A major order is received under the Saubhagya scheme. The scope of these packages involves electrification works in urban and rural areas, augmentation of 33/11kV substations and replacement of conductors with aerial bunched cables,” the company said in a statement.
The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts also include an order secured from the Department of Disaster Management for the construction of underground power cable network on turnkey basis in the eastern region of India.
The company has also won an order to build grid-connected rooftop solar plants in government buildings and another order for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 400 kV double circuit transmission lines on a turnkey basis in the southern region of India. Read More
