In a joint operation, sleuths of UP’s Special Task Force (STF) and Muzaffarnagar Police on Thursday seized 14,000 liters of petrol and 200 liters of diesel which were pilfered from oil tankers during their shipment to petrol pumps across various parts of western UP.
Six members of the gang, which used to purchase the stolen petrol and diesel from drivers of the tankers, were also arrested from city’s Meerapur area.
