The Mumbai local train services on Sunday on the Central and Harbour Line will remain affected for at least six hours. No trains will ply between Masjid and Sandhurst Road stations during the block period. However, no mega block in the day has been scheduled on the Western Line, which is a sigh of relief for the passengers travelling on that route.
According to the information, in the Central Railways stated that the maintenance works of rail tracks and other related works would be carried out for six hours between 10.30 AM to 4.30 PM on Sunday. The maintenance work is reportedly being carried out to dismantle one span and one girder of the FOB at Masjid railway station (Mumbai end). Due to this, the CR will operate a special traffic and power block for six hours during that period and will affect the local train traffic on four lines – Up and Down Harbour Lines and Up and Down slow lines. Read more
